# Doctor Warns Against Removing Your Shirt in Hot Weather

## Expert Cautions on Dangers of Heat Exposure

Britain is experiencing another heatwave as temperatures rise. A doctor has warned that taking your shirt off during these hot days can pose serious health risks.

When the weather is very warm, many people may feel tempted to remove layers of clothing. However, experts indicate that this could lead to unexpected health issues. According to the doctor, sudden changes in temperature can affect how your body regulates heat.

"It's important to cool yourself down very nicely," he said. He also emphasized that a quick drop in body temperature can occur if someone jumps into a cold body of water. The RNLI warns that "jumping into water colder than 15 degrees can cause the body to enter cold water shock," which can result in drowning.

The doctor pointed out that you don't want your body temperature to drop too quickly. If someone is experiencing heatstroke, their normal temperature regulation systems become impaired. He explained, "If you're not yet in heatstroke, still be careful, because reducing your body temperature too quickly can make you shiver, and shivering can cause more heat increase inside your body."

With the heatwave affecting the regions, staying aware of these risks is vital. People are advised to dress appropriately for the heat while taking care not to expose themselves to sudden temperature changes.
