1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be 16+. Keep your login secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
2. Your content
You retain rights to petition text, images, and comments. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, display, and share your content as needed to operate and promote your petition on the platform. Only upload content you have rights to.
3. Acceptable use
No illegal activity, threats, hate, harassment, or incitement to violence. No spam, bots, or manipulation of signatures. One person = one verified signature.
4. Petitions & moderation
We may review, limit, or remove content that breaches these Terms or the law. Appeals can be made at contact@britainsnews.co.uk.
5. Advertising & monetisation (Google Ads compliance)
Ads help fund the service.
- You must not encourage ad clicks, offer rewards for interacting with ads, or place elements that artificially draw attention to ads.
- You agree not to use ad-blocking circumvention or any activity that inflates impressions/clicks (including automated means).
- We may adjust ad placements to comply with Google policies (including Better Ads Standards) without notice.
6. Analytics, cookies, and consent
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in the Privacy Policy. In the UK/EEA, certain cookies/ads load only after consent.
7. Service changes
We may change or discontinue features. We strive for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted access.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. You may delete your account at any time (public petition pages may remain as part of the public record).
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
