Nationwide Alerts Customers to Scam Letters Requesting Personal Information

# Nationwide Confirms Monitoring of Scam Letters Sent to Customers
Nationwide Building Society has announced that it is keeping a close eye on recent reports regarding misleading letters circulated among its members. The organisation clarified that customers should contact them if they have concerns about any communication they receive.
The letters allegedly request personal information including names, contact numbers, preferred products, and investment amounts, suggesting recipients will receive a secure application link after providing this data. In response to inquiries, Nationwide stressed, "Just to confirm that this isn't an official letter from Nationwide, we will send this onto our Economic Crime team for their awareness."
The group further stated, "We're not aware of any other widespread scam letters, but we take all reports seriously and we are monitoring the situation closely." They emphasised that all legitimate communications from the society are conducted online or in branch and feature standard safety advice aimed at protecting customers and their funds.
Nationwide encouraged its members to stay vigilant and report any suspicious communications, reminding them that receiving such letters is a cause for caution and proactive interaction is vital for customer safety.
