The warning is in effect for Thursday night, with conditions expected to worsen as visibility is predicted to drop below 100 metres in some areas. The notice comes after rainfall during the daytime on Thursday, which may lead to patches of ice forming on untreated surfaces, adding to the risk for motorists and pedestrians alike.

"Freezing fog is expected to develop across parts of southeast England on Thursday night before clearing on Friday morning. Visibility could fall below 100 metres in places. Additionally, following rainfall during Thursday daytime, a few patches of ice could form on untreated surfaces," according to the national weather forecaster.
