Duncan Wood Reveals Life-Threatening Sleep Apnoea Experience After 80 Breathing Stops

# ITV Presenter 'Nearly Died' After Stopping Breathing 80 Times in One Night
Former ITV presenter Duncan Wood has revealed a startling health scare that nearly cost him his life. He disclosed that during a single night of sleep, he stopped breathing over 80 times each hour, unaware of the serious threat to his life.
Wood believed he was suffering from a significant prostate issue, only to discover that his symptoms were caused by sleep apnoea. This condition, which disrupts normal breathing during sleep, led to distressing awakenings where he felt compelled to relieve himself, thinking he had merely woken up.
He articulated the seriousness of his situation by stating, "I stopped breathing more than 80 times an hour when I went to sleep and didn't have a clue my life was on the line." Wood's experience has spurred him to launch a campaign aimed at raising awareness about the dangers associated with sleep apnoea.
