The former U.S. President revealed his decision during an interview this month. He talked about declining his doctor's suggestion to decrease the dosage of medications he takes, asserting he prefers the higher strength.
In discussing his health, Trump stated, "I'm a little superstitious. They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don't want thick blood pouring through my heart. I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?" He acknowledged that taking a higher dosage has caused some bruising.
He further explained, "They'd rather have me take the smaller one. I take the larger one, but I've done it for years, and what it does do is it causes bruising." Despite his choices, a recent memo indicated that Trump is "in exceptional health, exhibiting strong cardiovascular, pulmonary, neurological and physical performance," according to Barbabella.
Trump also highlighted the role of genetics in his health, claiming, "Genetics are very important. And I have very good genetics."
