Zack Polanski Criticised for Proposing Relationship with Putin to Reduce Nuclear Arms

# Zack Polanski Faces Mockery Over Plans for Relationship with Putin
Green Party leader Zack Polanski has stirred controversy with his recent remarks about establishing a relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Polanski suggested his intention to persuade Putin to eliminate his nuclear arsenal, which has drawn significant backlash and ridicule from various quarters.
In a provocative statement, Polanski emphasized the importance of "building that relationship" despite admitting he does not trust Putin. "I don't trust him for a second and I wouldn't trust him either in a negotiation. But at the same time, you've got to build that relationship, and part of that is through exchange," he stated. This sentiment has not been well-received by critics, who labelled the approach as naive and impractical.
Polanski advocated for a diplomatic strategy, insisting that engagement with nations like Russia and Iran is necessary, as avoiding negotiation could lead to conflict. "If you're not going to negotiate with someone, then you're accepting that you're going to war with them at some point. And I don't think anyone is calling for a war with Russia or a war with Iran," he explained.
The reaction from the public has been overwhelmingly critical. Many have voiced skepticism about the feasibility of negotiating with a leader like Putin, with one critic stating, "You must be totally naive if you think Putin can be trusted." Polanski's views on diplomacy and trust in high-stakes international relations continue to elicit discussions and doubts regarding their practicality.
