UK Prepares for Arctic Freeze with -4C Temperatures in Multiple Cities

# UK Weather Maps Turn Icy Blue as -4C Arctic Freeze Hits 10 Coldest Cities

## Parts of the UK to Face Frigid Conditions

The UK is bracing for a significant drop in temperatures as parts of the country are set to experience an Arctic freeze, with forecasts indicating lows of -4C. This intense cold snap is expected to impact several regions, categorizing them among the 10 coldest cities in the UK.

The Met Office has issued warnings as icy conditions are anticipated, particularly in Northern England and Scotland. The cold spell is expected to last throughout the week, bringing frost and possible snow. The chilly weather follows a relatively mild period and is expected to catch many off guard.

Temperatures are projected to be especially low in cities such as Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Edinburgh, where conditions could dip to the -4C mark. Other areas that may experience severe cold include parts of Yorkshire and the North West. The Met Office is closely monitoring the situation and advising residents to prepare for the wintry weather.

But as the freeze sets in, a shift is anticipated. "On Tuesday, warmer air moves in across England and Wales from the near continent through Tuesday and into Wednesday. We will see temperatures rising to the low 20s, with highs around 20C or 21C on Tuesday, and possibly 23C or 24C come Wednesday," said Met Office meteorologist Greg Dewhurst. The sunniest skies are expected to be in south-east England, where the warmest temperatures will be recorded.

Given the rapid changes in weather, residents are encouraged to stay informed of updates from the Met Office and to exercise caution while navigating potentially hazardous road conditions.
