Toddler Diagnosed with Brain Tumor After Misdiagnosed Ear Infection Leads to Partial Blindness

**Toddler Left Partially Blind After 'Ear Infection' Diagnosis**

A toddler now faces partial blindness due to a misdiagnosed ear infection. The girl, Chloe, was initially treated for the infection. However, her mother later discovered that Chloe had a brain tumour causing the issues.

This serious condition was identified after Chloe began experiencing vision problems. Medical professionals believe that had the tumour been diagnosed sooner, Chloe's sight could have been saved. Her mother expressed the family's frustration at the initial misdiagnosis.

Despite these challenges, Chloe maintains a positive outlook. "She has never once complained and is always smiling and happy. The trophy is in pride of place in her room," said her mum.

Recently, Chloe was awarded a Star Award for her bravery. "After everything Chloe's been through, it's been an absolute privilege to celebrate her incredible courage with a Star Award," stated a Cancer Research UK spokesperson, Jemma Humphreys.

Chloe's story highlights the importance of careful diagnosis in children’s health and the impact of early detection on treatment options.
