Snow Disrupts Flights in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura as Canary Islands Face Severe Weather

# Tenerife Weather LIVE: Snow in Canary Islands - Lanzarote, Fuerteventura Flights Cancelled

Snow has impacted the Canary Islands this week, leading to significant disruptions, especially in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Heavy weather conditions have prompted the cancellation of multiple flights across these islands, as authorities strive to manage the fallout from the extreme weather.

Aemet, the national meteorological agency, has stated that the inclement weather is expected to continue for several days. "Starting today, it is causing a period of adverse weather in the Canary Islands that will extend over the next few days with the passage of successive fronts and lines of instability. Winds will intensify, producing very strong gusts from the west that could cause branches or trees to fall, as well as damage to property and infrastructure," Aemet warned.

Residents and visitors are advised to stay vigilant as meteorological conditions worsen. The combination of snow and high winds raises concerns over possible power outages and transportation difficulties. Local authorities are monitoring the situation closely to ensure public safety and are taking necessary measures to minimize risk.
