14-Year-Old Arrested for Allegedly Planning Terror Attack in Morrisons Car Park

A 14-year-old boy, radicalised through online channels, was apprehended by armed police while allegedly planning a terror attack in a Morrisons car park. The incident took place recently, when police acted on urgent intelligence regarding the teenager's intentions.
The boy, whose identity has not been disclosed, was reportedly targeting a public area. Authorities were alerted to his radicalisation and potential for violence, prompting immediate action. Officers from the Counter Terrorism Policing team monitored and intervened in the situation before any harm could be done.
“The threat was significant, and we are grateful that we could prevent a potential tragedy,” an official stated following the arrest. The police have highlighted the growing concern of youth being influenced by extremist ideologies online. "Sadly, we're seeing more and more examples of young people and children being drawn into violent extremism and terrorism this way," said Commander Flanagan.
Investigations are underway to uncover any connections the teenager may have had and further assess the situation. Community awareness and vigilance are being urged to help counteract the rise of youth radicalisation.
