## Jacquie Beltrao Reflects on Her Battle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer

Jacquie Beltrao, a prominent figure at Sky News, has bravely shared gripping details about her ongoing fight against cancer. Diagnosed with stage 4 incurable breast cancer, she revealed this difficult news after previously battling the disease. Her initial diagnosis prompted a mastectomy, and she acknowledged the overwhelming emotions she felt at that time.

Beltrao disclosed that her struggle intensified seven years after the first diagnosis when she was faced with the reality of chemotherapy. "I'd been diagnosed with stage 4 incurable breast cancer 7 years after my primary diagnosis and a mastectomy. I cried my eyes out the first time when I was told chemo was a good idea, as a precaution, but with my second diagnosis I was begging for that chemo," she shared.

Despite the challenges, the TV star continued to work at Sky News and maintained a façade of normalcy. "I was still working @skynews all through it convincing myself that everything was normal. Everything was NOT normal, I was terrified I was going to die. But you know you push on through - somehow - with your imaginary shields," Beltrao explained.

She also addressed the toll that her condition and the demanding schedule have taken on her well-being. "I'm sometimes knackered, but I don't know if that's because I get up at 3.45 for my job or I take medication that says on the tin it will probably make you knackered," she said. Her candid remarks highlight the strength it takes to face such adversity while continuing to fulfill her professional commitments.
