Samson Mow, the former chief strategy officer at Blockstream, has declared that the cryptocurrency Bitcoin has hit its lowest point, despite mixed signals from market analysts. Many in the financial community remain skeptical about his prediction, which he publicly articulated at a recent market conference.
Mow highlighted the confusion among analysts who assert that Bitcoin will decline further based on historical market cycles. "I find it incredibly interesting how some people are so certain that the bottom is coming in four months because of 'cycles,'" he stated. Mow argues that even if one adheres to these cycles, it is essential to consider the rapid nature of recent market changes.
In his analysis, Mow noted that Bitcoin reached an all-time high just 37 days before the halving event last year. "But we had an (all-time high) ATH 37 days before the halving, so it would seem even if you believe in cycles, you should reason out that the cycles accelerated. The bottom is in," he asserted. This claim places his views in stark contrast to those of other market analysts who continue to predict further declines.
Market observer Van Straten pointed out that Bitcoin has not fallen below a certain key support level in this current cycle, lending some credence to Mow’s confidence. As uncertainty looms over potential downward trends, market analyst Omkar Godbole recently remarked, "wondering just how much lower bitcoin is likely to drop, the answer, at least according to one historically accurate contrarian indicator, is not much."
