Gary Glitter's Health Declines to Critical State in Prison

# Gary Glitter Reported to Be 'Near Death' in Prison

Gary Glitter, the convicted paedophile, is reportedly in a critically deteriorating state while serving his sentence in prison. Sources indicate that he is suffering greatly, with some describing him as being "on his last legs." The former pop star is currently confined primarily to his cell.

Described as "deaf and can barely move," Glitter's physical condition has alarmed both prison staff and fellow inmates. A close source revealed, "Most people would struggle to recognise him now. He seems to be on his last legs, with his body giving up. And if he doesn't get parole soon, most officers and inmates think he will see out his days in jail."

Glitter is housed in a Vulnerable Prisoner Unit (VPU), which is necessary due to the nature of his crimes. The source added that "he has to be kept on a VPU as it is not solely a jail for sex offenders." This ensures his safety, as he would not fare well if placed among the general population. However, this isolation means he spends up to 23 hours a day in his cell, further compounding his predicament.

Despite his dire situation, the source noted that Glitter has remained "arrogant in prison and most inmates don't like him," indicating tensions even in his isolated environment. His future remains uncertain as he continues to grapple with deteriorating health conditions.
