Pensioner Finds Affordable Lifestyle in Thailand After Leaving Expensive Europe

# Pensioner's Living Costs After Leaving 'Unaffordable' Europe for His Ideal Country
Bragi Jonsson, a pensioner from Iceland, recently shared his experiences since relocating to Thailand. Escaping what he deemed "unaffordable" living costs in Europe, he has embraced life in a country he describes as "perfect."
Since moving, Bragi has discovered that his expenses are significantly lower in Thailand compared to both the UK and Iceland. He remarked, "It is much cheaper to live down here than in the UK or Iceland. I've got a lovely place down here and it's cheaper to go out dining than cooking at home." This has allowed him to enjoy a lifestyle that prioritizes dining out, enhancing his quality of life.
Bragi has made several trips to this destination and expressed satisfaction with his choice. "It is pretty nice. This is my fifth time I've come down here," he said. His favorite area includes local establishments that cater to tourists and locals alike.
Furthermore, he highlighted the nightlife in Pattaya, explaining that while there is a pricier side closer to the beach, the atmosphere adds to the adventure. "There is a big nightclub further down the beach (in Pattaya), and it's more expensive the closer you go to there. There's a bar with ladies who look after you. Every bar lady tries to chat you up. It's a nice gesture, but you have to tip them." This vibrant social scene has contributed to his contentment in his new home.
