**Study Reveals Just Five Extra Minutes of Daily Exercise May Boost Lifespan**

**NHS-Approved Exercises to Extend Your Life, Study Finds**

A recent study suggests that just five additional minutes of exercise daily could help increase lifespan. This finding highlights the importance of physical activity, especially for those who may not currently engage in regular exercise.

According to the research, 10 per cent of deaths may be preventable with this small increase in daily activity. "It means that in a population where 100,000 individuals die every year, 6,000 of these might be preventable by a five-minute increase in activity in the least active 20 per cent," said Prof Ekelund.

The NHS outlines that a good way to judge if your exercise intensity is moderate is whether you can still talk, but not sing. "If you're working at this level, you will not be able to say more than a few words without pausing for breath," the NHS adds. It’s clear that making small changes to your daily routine can have significant benefits for your health.
