Monty Don Shares Grass Snake Encounter in His Garden, Fans React

# Monty Don Encounters Snake in Garden, Fans React with Shock
Monty Don, the beloved gardener and television presenter, recently made a startling discovery in his garden: a snake. This incident took place amidst his horticultural activities and has sparked a mixture of reactions from his fans.
Don identified the creature as a grass snake, which is known to inhabit compost bays where the gardener often tends to his plants. In a statement about the encounter, he revealed, "A good-sized grass snake in the compost bays. Every year, grass snakes lay their eggs in the compost - which then get uncovered when the compost is turned. However we always put the eggs back and they hatch successfully. I know some people don't like any kind of snake but I am very happy to share this garden with grass snakes."
The response from fans has been varied, with some expressing fear at the sight of a snake. One user commented, "If I see a snake in my garden, that is it, my gardening days are over. Right there and then!" Another added, "I wish I felt the same way when finding a snake in the garden… unfortunately it doesn't translate the same way in Australia."
Others praised Don for his approach to wildlife in his garden, saying, "Healthy biodiversity you have there. Love that you let the eggs hatch. I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Monty." The reactions highlight a broader appreciation for nature as well as differing attitudes towards wildlife encounters.
