Met Office Warns Eight Regions Will Experience 32°C Heatwave This Sunday

# Met Office Identifies 8 Regions Facing 32°C Heatwave This Sunday - Full List

Britons are bracing for another oppressive Sunday with temperatures soaring to 32°C across various regions. The Met Office has confirmed that the heat will particularly affect parts of central and southern England, as well as Wales. This weather phenomenon is anticipated to unfold on Sunday, with many residents preparing for a sweltering day.

The Met Office has highlighted that several areas will endure a string of days featuring temperatures exceeding 30°C. "Areas of central and southern England and Wales are expected to see several more consecutive days of temperatures above 30°C," stated Office Deputy Chief Forecaster David Hayter. Such high temperatures are atypical for this time of year, signalling a significant heat event.

The forecast also indicates that the hot spell will persist, but there could be an uptick in thunderstorms beginning Monday in certain southern locales. "There is a possible increase in thunderstorms from Monday in parts of the south, however most areas will remain dry, sunny and very warm into the coming week," Hayter added.

This unusual heatwave aligns with a year that has already experienced numerous significant temperature records. “This year has already seen a number of remarkable temperature milestones,” commented Office Science Manager Dr Amy Doherty.

Here is the full list of areas expected to experience extreme heat:

1. London

2. South East

3. West Midlands

4. South West

5. East Midlands

6. East of England

7. Wales

8. Thames Valley
