# Met Office Issues Heat Warnings for Six English Areas Starting at Noon

Amber and yellow heat-health alerts have been declared by the Met Office for six regions in England, beginning at 12pm. These warnings are aimed at alerting residents about the potential impacts of high temperatures.

The six areas affected by these heat alerts include the East Midlands, the West Midlands, East of England, London, South East England, and South West England. Temperatures are expected to rise significantly, leading to concerns about public health and safety. The warnings highlight the importance of staying hydrated and taking precautions during the heat.

The Met Office also provided advice on how to cope with the heat. It stated, “You should start to cool down and feel better within 30 minutes. If you are concerned about symptoms, or they are worsening, seek medical advice by contacting NHS 111. In an emergency, or if you think someone has heatstroke, dial 999,” according to The UKHSA.

Residents are urged to stay indoors during peak heat hours and take preventative measures to safeguard their health.
