Tesco Issues Urgent Recall of Pâté Products Over Safety Concerns

Tesco has announced an urgent recall of three pâté products due to concerns surrounding a possible microbiological risk. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has indicated that these items could be unsafe for consumption and should be returned to stores immediately.
The FSA explained that the products involved were incorrectly labelled with a ‘use-by’ date. “The products listed above have been labelled with an incorrect 'use-by' date printed on the pack. The products may pose a microbiological risk, making them unsafe to eat,” said the FSA.
Affected items include a variety of pâtés sold across Tesco locations. Customers who have purchased these products are advised to check their labels and return any affected items for a refund. There are no reported cases of illness linked to these products as of now, but the supermarket and the agency are taking precautionary measures to ensure public safety.
The recall highlights ongoing vigilance in food safety practices, as retailers are urged to act promptly when such risks arise. Tesco has committed to investigating the matter thoroughly to prevent future occurrences of this nature.
