### M25 Traffic Live: Major Disruptions Cause 60-Minute Delays and 8-Mile Queues in Surrey
Traffic on the M25 experienced significant disruptions today, leading to delays of over 60 minutes and forming queues stretching up to eight miles. The issues arose between Junction 5 and Junction 6 on the clockwise stretch of the motorway.
The delays were primarily caused by a broken-down vehicle, which resulted in the closure of lanes one and two. Recovery efforts were initiated, with teams arriving at the scene to address the situation.
“Lanes 1 and 2 (of 4) remain closed on the #M25 in #Surrey clockwise between J5-J6 due to a broken down vehicle. Recovery has now arrived on scene. There are delays in excess of 60 minutes on the approach with 8 miles of congestion,” stated National Highways South East.
Commuters on this route faced severe interruptions as traffic continued to backlog. Authorities are actively monitoring the situation and directing assistance to ensure a swift resolution.
