Traffic has come to a halt on a key section of the M11 due to what police describe as a "serious collision." The incident has resulted in the closure of the northbound lanes between Junction 6, where it meets the M25 interchange, and Junction 7, near Harlow.
Emergency services are currently on-site addressing the situation. "The #M11 in #Essex remains closed northbound between J6 (#M25Interchange) & J7 (#Harlow) due to a serious collision. Emergency services are in attendance," noted Essex Police.
Drivers are being urged to steer clear of the area if possible. "Please avoid the area if you can, and if you saw what happened or have any dashcam footage, we need you to contact us," added the police statement, indicating the importance of gathering information regarding the incident.
