Armed police have established a presence in Liverpool's city centre on Seel Street due to a serious incident linked to a missing person. The situation unfolded on Saturday, 9 May, when officers were alerted shortly after 4pm about a report of the man sighted in the vicinity.
Upon their arrival, the man reportedly made threats towards the officers from inside a hotel room. In response, Merseyside Police enacted precautionary measures and set up a containment around the area as they attempted to communicate with him. “We are in attendance on Seel Street, Liverpool this evening as part of enquiries to locate a man who had been reported missing,” said Merseyside Police.
