Japan's Minister Sanae Takaichi Disavows SANAE TOKEN After Price Drop

# Japan's Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi Dismisses SANAE TOKEN Following Major Decline
Japan’s economic security minister, Sanae Takaichi, has publicly distanced herself from the SANAE TOKEN, a Solana-based meme cryptocurrency that has plummeted by 75%. This announcement comes after the token faced significant criticism and confusion related to its naming and association with her.
Takaichi made it clear that she and her office had not participated in the creation or promotion of the cryptocurrency. “Due to the name, it seems there are various misunderstandings, but regarding this token, I have absolutely no knowledge of it, nor has my office been informed about what this token entails,” she stated.
As the SANAE TOKEN began to circulate within the market, concerns surged about potential misconceptions due to its name. Takaichi emphasized that no endorsements had been given for this token, aiming to "ensure that the public does not labor under any misapprehensions." She further elaborated, "I have heard that a cryptocurrency called SANAE TOKEN has been issued and is being traded to some extent."
Her strong disavowal aims to clarify any possible links to her office and assure the public that they should not conflate the token with her or the government.
