Major Strike on Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant Sparks Safety Concerns

# Horror as Huge Strike Launched on Ukrainian Nuclear Plant Sparking 'Chernobyl 2' Fears

## Attack Raises Alarms Over Nuclear Safety

A significant strike occurred at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) in Ukraine earlier today, triggering severe concerns regarding nuclear safety. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) reported the incident, which involved a drone targeting the plant's External Radiation Control Laboratory (ECRL).

The strike took place within the area of the ZNPP's operations and has raised fears reminiscent of the Chernobyl disaster. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported thus far. However, it is still unclear whether the attack caused any damage to the laboratory, which is situated outside the main perimeter of the nuclear facility.

The IAEA, which is closely monitoring the situation, stated, "IAEA has been informed by the ZNPP that a drone targeted its External Radiation Control Laboratory (ECRL) today. There were no reported injuries and it is not yet known if the strike damaged the lab, which is located outside the ZNPP perimeter. IAEA team at the site has requested." This underscores the ongoing risks facing the site, located in a conflict zone, and the necessity for heightened vigilance in the region.
