A British grandmother tragically passed away while enjoying a cruise around Africa, leaving her family devastated. The woman, a grandmother to eleven, was on what was supposed to be a dream holiday when disaster struck.
The incident unfolded when she fell ill while aboard the ship. Despite efforts to seek medical assistance, her condition deteriorated. "The doctors there said there was nothing they could do for her so mum and dad were told to head back to the airport," stated family members.
Her husband and son rushed to her side during this crisis. Ashley, her son, recounted a harrowing moment, saying, "By then, my dad was screaming 'My wife is dying, please help us'. The doctors then said she was stable and that a stent would be put in place, but went into cardiac arrest the next day and died."
This heartbreaking incident has cast a shadow over what was meant to be a joyful experience, highlighting the importance of medical provisions and support on cruises.
