Health Alert Issued as UK Prepares for 30C Heatwave next Week

**Health Alert Issued for 4 Areas as UK Faces 30C Heat Surge**
A health alert has been announced for four regions in the UK in anticipation of soaring temperatures that could reach 30C by Friday, June 19. The Met Office has flagged concerns about the implications of this heatwave on public health, particularly among vulnerable populations.
The areas under alert are preparing for significant heat, with forecasters indicating that parts of south-eastern England will likely experience these extreme temperatures. "By Friday there is potential for 30C across parts of south-eastern England," said a representative from the Met Office. As the weekend approaches, the humidity is expected to rise, creating discomfort around the clock, especially during the night when temperatures are predicted to stay in the high teens.
Prior to this heatwave, the weather will remain mixed, with rain forecasted in northern and western regions. However, hot sunshine will start developing in the southeast. "The weather remains mixed during the middle and second half of the week. There will be further rain, especially in the north and west. Some hot sunshine developing further southeast," according to the Met Office.
Local authorities are advising residents to stay hydrated and take precautions against heat-related illnesses.
