# Gus Lamont Missing: Grandmother Speaks Out on Boy's Disappearance in the Australian Outback
Four-year-old Gus Lamont has been reported missing since late September 2025, having disappeared from his family's property at Oak Park Station, located near Yunta in the Australian outback, north of Adelaide. His family has been deeply affected by his sudden disappearance, and the search efforts continue.
According to family members, Gus had been taken to the Shearer's quarters by a relative named Shan while other family members, including his parents, were out mustering cattle. Unfortunately, it was during this time that he wandered off, leaving the family in distress. "Shan had taken him down to the Shearer's quarters while Jess and I were out mustering and he had wandered off... Shan couldn't find him when she was going to come home," recalled Murray, highlighting the family's concern over the incident.
As the search progressed, questions surfaced regarding the timeline of Gus's last known whereabouts. "We said to Shannon, 'When did you last see him?' And she said, 'Five o'clock'," noted a family member, underscoring the urgency of the situation. The family is urging the public for assistance in locating Gus as authorities increase their search efforts in the surrounding area, hoping for his safe return.
