Protest Against Sewage Discharge Cancelled as Water Quality Declines at Cornwall Beach

**Fury as ‘Santa’ Protest at UK Beach Cancelled Due to Pollution**

Organisers of a protest against sewage discharge in UK waterways expressed their outrage as their planned demonstration at a Cornwall beach was called off. The event, aimed at highlighting the need for clean water, was derailed because South West Water was observed dumping sewage, preventing participants from entering the sea.

The incident occurred at a notable beach in Cornwall where the protest was scheduled. Despite the cancellation, a small group of activists gathered along the shoreline to voice their concerns regarding the environmental practices of South West Water.

A spokesperson for the group stated, “Unfortunately, we were unable to get into the sea due to South West Water dumping sewage! The irony was not lost on us. We decided to go ahead with the protest anyway and gathered a lovely little group on the shoreline to demand that SWW clean up their act.”

Many supporters of the initiative expressed frustration at the situation, stressing the importance of clean waterways for public health and environmental sustainability. According to a campaign group, "irony has not been lost" in the situation.

South West Water claimed that the sewage discharge was in line with their permits, but this justification did little to quell the anger among those present at the protest. Public attention remains focused on the company's practices, as activists continue to call for change in how wastewater is managed.
