The expert, Dr. London, stated that smoking is a major factor. "The first one is pretty obvious: smoking. Smoking negatively impacts pretty much every organ system in the body," Dr. London explained. He noted that even smoking at low levels can affect a person's longevity.
Another habit that Dr. London highlighted is a sedentary lifestyle. He said, "Even if you have a consistent exercise programme, if you go and sit for six or eight hours at work, this affects glucose metabolism and mitochondrial function. Our bodies are made to move."
