EE gives half a million customers a free mobile network upgrade

EE has announced that it will grant a free upgrade to its new 5G+ service for half a million customers across the UK. The upgrade will enhance mobile connectivity for those who possess compatible smartphones and are on specific pay monthly plans. This initiative aims to significantly improve user experience by offering superior network performance.
The rollout of the 5G+ service is now available to all EE pay monthly handset plans, as well as the Full Works and All Rounder SIM-only plans. As of now, more than 15 percent of all EE pay monthly customers are already utilizing this advanced network, which indicates that millions of individuals are benefitting from its enhanced capabilities on a daily basis.
“This time of year is all about connecting with the people and things we care about most,” said Greg McCall, Chief Networks Officer at BT Group. This upgrade aligns with the company's strategy to ensure that its users can stay connected during the festive season and beyond.
