Lack of Hydration May Contribute to Fatigue, Experts Warn

Many people feel tired or sluggish sometimes, but it could signal a common health issue. Dr. Kubicka explains that maintaining proper hydration is crucial for energy levels. Adults typically need about 30ml of water per kilogram of body weight each day. For instance, a person weighing 50kg should drink around 1.5 litres of water daily, while someone weighing 80kg needs around 2.4 litres.
Dr. Kubicka adds that beverages other than caffeinated or alcoholic drinks also contribute to hydration. "Any drink which is not caffeinated and not alcoholic counts towards your fluid intake," she stated. She warned that caffeinated drinks and alcohol can lead to water loss, so those who consume them should drink extra water to stay hydrated.
