# Death in Paradise Star's Heartbreaking Health Struggles: 'Felt Like Gun to My Head'

Kimberley Nixon, known for her role in *Death in Paradise*, opened up about her harrowing battle with severe postnatal obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Speaking on the *No You're Not* podcast, Nixon revealed that the intense fear of her baby being taken away was a constant source of distress.

Nixon shared her personal journey, stating, “After two and a half, three years after he was born, I had really severe post-natal OCD, which I didn't even know was a thing. For six months after he was born, we knew something was very wrong...with me. He was fine, he was perfect.” She described the overwhelming struggle, illustrating how debilitating her condition became.

Reflecting on her mental health, Nixon expressed a newfound understanding of her situation. “I've realised it's not that my brain is wrong - it's just different,” she noted. This insight has been a part of her path toward recovery, even as she continues to navigate her challenges.
