Monty Don Shares Personal Cancer Battle on BBC's Gardeners' World

# Monty Don Reveals Cancer Battle on BBC's Gardeners' World
Monty Don, the beloved host of BBC's Gardeners' World, recently opened up about his personal health struggles, disclosing a past battle with cancer. While speaking on the show Rosebud with Gyles Brandreth, Don shared details of his diagnosis, including the treatment he underwent.
Don detailed the medical discovery, stating, "They had found something in the X-ray - what they found was a tumour. I have the scar. They took the bone out and scraped the marrow out. It was marrow cancer." He revealed that he was fortunate because the cancer had not spread further. "Luckily, it hadn't spread," he explained.
The renowned gardener noted that doctors had informed him that had he waited just six months longer to get treatment, the outcome could have been far more serious. "They said if it had been six months later, it could have gone to the rest of my body. That wouldn't have been very good," he said. Monty Don's candid admission serves as a reminder of the importance of early detection and proactive health management.
