## Jess Impiazzi shares her experience battling lupus and urges change

Jess Impiazzi has publicly voiced her concerns about the NHS following her challenging health journey. The actress, who has recently experienced severe health issues, revealed that she suffered from lupus, a condition that was initially undiagnosed. Her health crisis emerged as she struggled with significant stress and multiple personal challenges which ultimately led her body to break down.

Speaking about her ordeal, Impiazzi explained, "I was getting really, really sick. I had lupus and no one knew, I was overly stressed about a lot of things going on and my body just gave up." This statement highlights the gravity of her situation and underscores the importance of thorough medical evaluations.

Describing her interactions with healthcare professionals, Impiazzi pointed out the limitations faced by the NHS, stating, “It's hard because the NHS are so stretched, I can't blame the doctors, but I think when you're in the room, when you have that 10-15 minutes, really look into it. I feel like in the beginning I was brushed off a lot, I was told, 'you're young, you're healthy.'” Her sentiments reflect a common frustration many experience within the current healthcare framework.

Moreover, Impiazzi advocated for increased funding in women's healthcare. She asserted, “I'd like to see more budget put into women's healthcare, to fix problems like this.” Her calls for reform come as part of a broader discussion on the need for enhanced health services to support those facing similar battles.
